Gaia Mandala is a gathering place for the Gaia Mandala Community that arose from the Earth Treasure Vase Global Healing Project. The project began in 1990, when Cynthia Jurs met a Tibetan Buddhist Lama (holy man) living in a cave in the Himalayas and asked him, “What can we do to bring healing and protection to the Earth?”. He gave her this practice and since then, Earth Treasure Vases have been planted or will have been planted in sacred places, war torn communities, inner cities and remote mountains, forests and sources of rivers on every inhabited continent. The vases form a living global mandala of prayers and intentions for the healing of the Earth. 

Working with the Earth Treasure Vases is our core practice, uniting us every full moon for a guided meditation to direct our prayers and intentions into the Earth Treasure Vases and energize the global mandala of locations where we have taken these holy vessels, embracing Gaia with our heartfelt prayers and presence, continuing to breathe life into this global tapestry —and each of the blessed vessels that have been planted. The practice transcends political, cultural and spiritual differences in a common language of caring and compassion. 

We are a growing circle, an extended community, an inter-denominational sangha. We are each a node on a global mandala of healing, protection and renewal for the Earth. In love with life, we recognize our relationship of interbeing and give thanks for the opportunity of this precious human life to wake up and offer ourselves as vessels for healing in all the ways that are called for in these times.

The Gaia Mandala Global Healing Community is a family of friends from around the world who are hearing the call of the Earth to wake up and engage with the great work of our time, to participate in restoring balance and harmony to the web of life. 

It is a gift to get to know each other through deepening our experiences of the various practices we are doing, learning from each other; igniting and strengthening our resolve to be instruments of healing in service to all beings. 

The practices we offer in the Gaia Mandala include: the Earth Treasure Vase Full Moon Global Healing Meditation, the Monday Mindfulness Meditation, the Sadhana of the Sublime Mother Gaia (for those who have received the transmission), the ETV Stewardship Support Group (for those stewarding vases) and the New Moon Earth Treasure Vase Guiding Council (by invitation).

You may request to join The Mandala if you have participated in at least one of our meditations: the Full Moon Earth Treasure Vase Global Healing Meditation, the Sublime Mother Gaia Practice, or our Monday Mindfulness Meditation. With presence and awareness, together, we co-create the Gaia Mandala Global Healing Community as a valuable, authentic, and safe environment. 

We support each other. Rejoicing in our inter-dependence, we care for each other with kindness, curiosity, empathy, and gratitude; abstaining from criticism, cynicism, unrequested advice, or judgement. Being respectful and practicing mindful speech.

We are invited to share generously. Our stories are precious wells from which we nourish ourselves and each other. We grow in unity and compassion through the process of expressing and bearing witness to our each others’ experiences.
